Mission:
Founded in 2011, by Rochester art consultant, Jean Geisel (www.thegeiselgallery.com), the Rotating Art Program at the Bausch + Lomb inc., Rochester Optics Center, provides employees with the opportunity to view contemporary art by local artists. It introduces employees and visitors from outside Rochester to the great arts community. As these works are displayed, it enhances the environment, generating dialog and inspiring creativity.
The Business of Art:
Artists lend their work at no cost to the company through the Rotating Art Program, and no commissions are taken on sales. There are generally 6-8 artists' whose works are installed every quarter. The art on display creates an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere that is always contemporary and fresh. Each new quarterly display excites many employees, and shows the passion Bausch + Lomb Inc. has for creating a pleasant, cool, work environment.
The art team works hard to select art which is contemporary, experimental and appropriate for a company environment. Since the art program began in 2011, over 400 artists have exhibited their work at the Rochester Optics Center, Bausch + Lomb Inc.
